About us
Sienda Ltd is a London-based company led by Bob Mazzei, IT and Business Engineer, analyst, consultant, and long-time maker of software and business solutions.
We did not appear last week wearing an AI badge and a look of spiritual excitement. We have been around rather longer than that.
Bob began working in IT in 1987. Since then, he has worked across software, systems, business processes, data analysis, and solution design in environments ranging from business and consulting to healthcare, agribusiness, legal services, and data-driven operations.
That matters because technology changes constantly, but businesses remain gloriously consistent in one respect: they still need systems that work, processes that make sense, and solutions that do not collapse the moment reality gets involved.
What Sienda is
Sienda builds focused applications and develops serious business solutions.
Some of these use AI. Some do not. We do not regard that as a crisis. The point is not to decorate everything with fashionable terminology. The point is to solve the problem properly.
That is why Sienda is not built around hype, demos dressed as strategy, or digital theatre for people who enjoy hearing the word “transformation” repeated until meaning leaves the room.
We prefer clarity, engineering, and results.
Why experience matters
The current market is crowded with people who can talk about AI for hours without once saying anything useful about operations, business logic, process design, or implementation risk.
That is not our preferred sport.
At Sienda, experience means being able to look beyond the fashionable layer and ask the less glamorous but far more valuable questions.
What is the real problem.
Where is the inefficiency.
What is the cost of delay, confusion, duplication, or poor design.
What should be automated, what should not, and what kind of solution will still make sense after the applause has died down.
That is the work.
How we think
We do not begin with “let’s use AI”.
We begin with “what needs solving”.
Sometimes AI is part of the answer. Sometimes it is not. Sometimes the real issue is process design. Sometimes it is workflow friction. Sometimes it is poor information handling. Sometimes it is a business relying on habits that should have been retired years ago with dignity and a small cake.
The discipline is to diagnose properly before building. That saves time, money, and the particular kind of regret that usually follows expensive enthusiasm.
How we work
Sienda operates with a lean and highly focused model.
Rather than maintaining bloated teams full of decorative job titles, projects are led directly and supported, where needed, by carefully selected specialists and partner professionals with the right expertise for the work at hand.
This keeps the structure agile, the thinking sharp, and the delivery aligned with what the client actually needs rather than what a large organisation needs in order to justify its own furniture.
It also means that specialist projects can draw on deep expertise without acquiring unnecessary layers of ceremony.
What clients get
Clients do not come to Sienda for noise, spectacle, or a motivational speech about the future.
They come for analysis, judgement, solution design, and delivery grounded in long experience.
They come for focused applications where a product is the right answer.
They come for specialist consulting and bespoke development where the problem is too important, too specific, or too operationally messy for off-the-shelf software.
And they come knowing that this is serious work. Not cheap. Not rushed. Not improvised. Properly thought through.
In one sentence
Sienda exists to turn operational mess, technological confusion, and fashionable nonsense into useful systems and focused applications.
That is the job.

Bob Mazzei
Founder, engineer, strategist, and unofficial tea critic.
I am a business engineer and analyst with decades of experience in software, IT processes, and business problem-solving.
I have been studying and working with neural networks since the early 1990s, long before the current AI gold rush, and long before half the market developed sudden prophetic confidence after discovering prompts and calling them strategy.
My work has always centred on the same principle: technology is only valuable when it supports the business properly. Not in theory. Not in a pitch deck. In the real world, where processes are messy, people improvise, data misbehaves, and expensive mistakes arrive dressed as good ideas.
I also write, occasionally. And listens to a worrying amount of rock music.
